Greetings and a warm welcome to the Woman Ascend Network (WAN)! I am Petrena Notice-Osei, the founder of this dynamic and transformative community.

​

With a background as a legal academic and a dedicated non-profit board volunteer, I have had the privilege of witnessing both the triumphs and challenges faced by women in various spheres of life.

 

These experiences have illuminated the significant gaps in support and resources available to women, which ignited my passion to establish WAN. Our mission is clear: to help women fulfil their God-given purpose and unlock their full potential.

 

The Woman Ascend Network is designed to address the critical need for mentorship, professional development, and personal growth.

In today's fast-paced world, women often find themselves wearing multiple hats. Balancing these roles can be overwhelming, and many women struggle to find the support and guidance they need to thrive. This is where WAN steps in.

 

As a mother and wife myself, I understand the complexities of juggling various responsibilities.

 

I know firsthand the importance of having a supportive community that empowers and uplifts. WAN aims to be that community—a safe haven where women can connect, share their journeys, and grow together. Through our programs, resources, and network of like-minded individuals, we strive to help women emerge from the shadows and live out their God-given identity with confidence and purpose.

My name is Jacquelyn Minta-Jacobs and I’m the Marketing Manage for WAN. 

 

My profession as a marketer has led me to understand human behaviour in a creative manner and use behavioural insights to unravel how to engage with people. This sparked my passion around self development and career progression and I hope to bring my expertise over the years to WAN. 

 

Naturally women have been socialised differently to men. We are put in many boxes and told we NEED to behave a certain way. A lot of times those behaviours work against us in terms of personal growth, development, ambition, self worth, success etc and it’s time women started building confidence and become empowered to step into who God has called them to be! 

 

Without the right skills, encouragement and knowledge it can be hard to know what next steps to take but at WAN we want to be that pillar for you, to aid you on your journey of visibility in all areas of your life. Embarking on that journey with like minded women is a powerful thing and being able to learn from others is the key to growth.
